Sandra Lee is Head of Private Markets at UniSuper and has over 25 years’ experience in the investment management and financial services industry.
Prior to UniSuper, Sandra held senior investment and finance roles at Perpetual Investments and the NAB group. Her experience in private markets includes leading the investment and business strategy, transactional and portfolio management at UniSuper with responsibility for over $15 billion across infrastructure and private equity investments. Sandra’s expertise covers the transportation, utilities, timberlands, PPPs and digital infrastructure sectors in Australia and globally. Sandra also leads management of UniSuper’s meaningful ownership interests including representation on boards and investor committees across international markets. This includes her role as director on the board of Sydney Airport.
Peter Bryant is Managing Director, Enterprise Australia & New Zealand for Morningstar. Peter has 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, achieved across a range of roles and disciplines. Starting his career as a lawyer, Peter was Group General Counsel of The Trust Company. Following the acquisition of The Trust Company by Perpetual, Peter spent seven years at the Commonwealth Bank in a range of commercial roles in CBA's Wealth Management business including General Manager, Advice Services. Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Seamus Collins is a senior executive with extensive experience in investment strategy and implementation for superannuation fund assets. He has over 32 years’ experience in financial markets, investments, portfolio implementation and risk management.
Prior to his employment at Team Super, Mr Collins worked closely with some of Australia’s leading superannuation funds in multiple roles at J.P. Morgan. He also has a strong background in equities markets from roles held at the Australian Securities Exchange.
Mr Collins holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New South Wales (Australian Graduate School of Management) and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Psychology) from the University of Sydney.

Gary is an Investment Manager (Infrastructure) at HESTA. HESTA is an Australian industry superannuation fund for workers in the health and community service sectors and has approximately $90 billion in funds under management.
Gary has been with HESTA for almost 4 years. Prior to HESTA, he worked at New South Wales Treasury Corporation (TCorp), ASX listed companies (Origin Energy and APA Group) and PwC.
His infrastructure experience spans a broad range of sectors including renewable energy, data centres registries, regulated utilities, power generation, mid stream, ports and airports.
Gary is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, a Masters in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
Gavin joined AMP Investments in October 2021 as Head of Private Markets. He is responsible for AMP Investments’ Alternatives portfolios, covering manager research and portfolio construction within the sector.
Gavin holds over 20 years’ industry experience, having specialised in funds management asset allocation, macro analysis and investment research.
He has held various senior investment positions with in-house investment teams responsible for advising multi-billion dollar, multi asset-class, multi manager, insurance / superannuation / investment funds, more recently specialising in Alternatives, covering Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Equity and Hedge Funds.
Most recently Gavin held the role of Head of Alternatives at BT Investment Solutions where he was responsible for the ongoing development of the BTIS Alternatives portfolios. Gavin holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance), Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, Master of Applied Finance and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) as well as a holder of the CAIA designation.
James McLean is the Investment Manager – Private Capital with HESTA, and is responsible for managing HESTA’s Private Equity investment portfolio. James has been investing in listed and unlisted markets for the past 15+ years and prior to HESTA held roles with the Myer Family Investments. James holds a Bachelor of Business from RMIT University.
Simon joined Aware Super in September 2022 as Head of Portfolio Management, encompassing Infrastructure, Property, Private Equity and Public Equities. Simon has over 26 years of experience working in London, Singapore and Sydney in banking and investment management. He has worked for JP Morgan, AMP Capital and Macquarie including as Global Head of Public Markets at AMP Capital where he was responsible for the Fixed Income, Equities and Multi-Asset businesses across investment teams, operations, support functions, distribution, and governance. Simon holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, an EMBA from NYU, HSE Paris and the LSE and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
With over 23 years in financial services, and over 15 years in the profit-to-member super fund sector, Jon has a deep understanding of its nuances, opportunities and challenges. Jon holds the CFP qualification and an MBA from Deakin University. Jon currently holds the position of General Manager of Member Engagement at HESTA where he leads a dynamic team comprising super advisers, educators, and support staff. He is committed to providing members with affordable and accessible advice across all channels. He strives to demystify the complexities of super and empower individuals to build their financial confidence.
Matt Olsen is Director of Manager Research Ratings, Australasia. Prior to Morningstar he was Head of Research and Retirement Income at Insignia Financial, CEO of Lonsec Research and Chief Investment Officer at EISS Super. He also worked as a Senior Stock Analyst for Colonial First State, The Lowy Family Group and Ausbil Dexia.
Prior to his investment career, Matt was a specialist in Equity Derivatives working at JPMorganChase in Sydney and London and at Banker’s Trust in Sydney. He also worked in Group Securitisation at Westpac Treasury.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of New South Wales (Co-Op Scholarship). He is also a Chartered Accountant.
Mark Hoven is Senior Vice President, Superannuation / Retirement at Morningstar Australasia.
He has worked in the wealth management industry for the last 23 years in roles spanning research, product development, sales and executive management. In the last 10 years, he was country head for S&P Market Intelligence, CEO Adviser Ratings, and Head of Wealth at Equifax.
Mark has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from FINSIA, a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Hons) from University of Melbourne, and a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a current member of the ASFA National Member Engagement Committee.
