Core Morningstar ratings and visualisations

Used together, ratings and visualisations can focus investor attention on what makes your offerings special. They allow investors to pair views of historical success with future predictions of outperformance, or even assess a fund's strengths in new ways, like reviewing its manager’s approach to stock picking.

The forward-looking rating assesses ability to outperform peers over the long term, based on performance, price, process, management team, and parent firm. Learn more about Medalist Ratings
The Morningstar Star Rating is a purely quantitative, backward-looking measure of a fund’s past performance from one to five stars.
Depicted by globe icons, the rating helps investors understand a fund’s vulnerability to environmental, social, and governance factors.
The nine-square grid shows the investment style of funds based on the size and value/growth orientation of their holdings.
Morningstar Category % Rank is a fund’s total-return percentile rank relative to all funds in the same category.
The visualisation shows exposure to seven key investing factors vs. peers: style, yield, momentum, quality, volatility, liquidity, and size.
The methodology measures the amount of underlying risk in a portfolio based on its underlying holdings.
