Jon is a Product Manager at Morningstar Sustainalytics focusing on the physical and transition risk products. His work also includes monitoring and analyzing trends in the global climate-related financial disclosure space, namely TCFD, ISSB, and their regional offshoots. In his time at Morningstar Sustainalytics, Jon has been involved in the development and enhancement of products to ensure they are meeting the needs of these reporting obligations. He played a critical role in the design and implementation of the web portal interface for the Physical Climate Risk Metrics and Low Carbon Transition Ratings products. Jon previously worked for IBM as a technology consultant and as an analyst for a startup looking to reduce the environmental impact of the commercial real estate sector by reducing energy and water use. Jon is based in Chicago, US, and holds a degree in environmental engineering from Northwestern University.
Jono leads Morningstar Sustainalytics’ Client Advisory team for APAC. He transferred to the region after 8 years in the United Kingdom, including five with Sustainalytics. In the UK he led the product strategy for Sustainalytics’ industry renown EU regulatory solutions, including SFDR, EU Taxonomy and EBA Pillar III requirements for banks. Before this he worked as lead Advisor for some of Morningstar Sustainalytics’ largest clients globally, including asset managers, asset owners and banks. During this time he has gained extensive experience in industry leading responsible investment practices, along with a deep knowledge of globally significant sustainable finance regulations.
Xuan Sheng Ou Yong (Sheng) is a Green Bonds & ESG Analyst at BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM). He joined the firm in January 2019. Sheng is responsible for the research of green & other thematic bonds that supports the firm’s fixed income strategies. Besides thematic fixed income, he also covers the Financial sector for ESG integration within equities and other asset classes, supporting investment teams in their analysis of banks and insurance companies from a broader ESG perspective.
Prior to joining BNPP AM, Sheng worked for EcoVadis, a business sustainability rating agency where he assess how Chinese companies manage their sustainability risks. Sheng spent a couple of years in Paris, before moving to Hong Kong to open a new office and lead a team of 8 analysts.
Sheng graduated from Singapore Management University with a Cum Laude in Bachelors in Business Management (Strategic Management) and in Bachelors of Science - Economics. Sheng is also a CFA charterholder since 2022.
Erica is an experienced Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) management consultant. Her background includes over 25 years working in the arears of responsible investment and sustainable finance policy development, consulting, and program delivery for some of the largest and most highly respected organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Europe. Erica specialises in practically integrating ESG (including climate change) factors into investment decision-making, and works with financial institutions and corporates across all elements of the investment value chain.
Erica was co-secretariat and co-author of the Sustainable Finance Roadmap for Aotearoa New Zealand and chaired the industry-led committee that developed Aotearoa New Zealand’s inaugural Stewardship Code for investors.
More recently, Erica has worked with corporates, asset owners and managers to implement the Aotearoa New Zealand Climate Standards. Furthermore, she works with the industry body INFINZ to design and deliver climate-related disclosure training to the financial sector in Aotearoa New Zealand.
